The Laurels of Chatham employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.
Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Chatham is directly employed, not "contracted". Anita Spake, RN, Director of Nursing
Anita Spake, RN joined The Laurels of Chatham as their Director of Nursing in October of 2014. Anita comes to The Laurels of Chatham with over 30 years of experience. She is a graduate of Blue Ridge Community College in Virginia, where she received her Nursing Degree. Anita enjoys being around others, working with seniors and knows that she has impacted her guest in many ways at the end of each day. Anita is thrilled to be a part of the team at The Laurels of Chatham.
Dawn Baize, Director of Marketing
Dawn Baize grew up in Crown Point, IN until she moved to Holly Springs, NC in January 2010. She has been working at The Laurels of Chatham since May of 2015. Dawn has over 10 years of Sales and Marketing experience in healthcare including Independent Living, Assisted living, Skilled Nursing and Hospice. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Administration with the focus in Healthcare. She enjoys being part of the team and making a positive difference with the families and guest lives.
Monica Adams, Rehabilitation Services Director
Monica began working at The Laurels of Chatham in 2014 as an Occupational Therapist and took on the role of Rehab Services Director in the beginning of 2015. She earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in NY in 1991. Her career working with clients has included a variety of patient populations and working settings, including a brief stint working and teaching in Ireland. She enjoys meeting and working with Laurels guests, as well as managing a dynamic and energetic therapy team.
When not at work, Monica stays busy with her family - husband Jeff and their two daughters.
