The Laurels of Chatham employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. John Jarrell, RRT, BS, RN, LNHA
Administrator
John Jarrell came to The Laurels of Chatham in 2007, as the Administrator. He has been in health care for many years, starting first as an orderly, then 18 years as a Respiratory Therapist in acute care. While working as an RRT, he continued his education and obtained his BS degree and an AAS RN degree. Planning to go on to a Nurse Anesthetist program, he took a job in a long-term care facility and fell in love with it. He became the Director of Nursing and went on to obtain his Nursing Home Administrator license. He has been an Administrator since 2001 and enjoys what he does. John looks forward to interacting with each guest and exceeding their needs and expectations on a daily basis.

Laura Lenhart, PTA
Rehabilitation Services Director
Laura Lenhart joined The Laurels of Chatham as rehabilitation services director in July 2021.
Laura relocated to North Carolina, escaping the upstate New York snow, in 2016. She brings over 25 years of rehabilitation experience to her role at The Laurels, including more than 15 years of management experience in the skilled nursing setting.
Laura is passionate about working in the skilled nursing and long-term care industry, and she relishes the opportunity to meet and serve so many amazing guests. It is her goal to always exceed expectations of this community, and beyond, as a team member at The Laurels.
Amanda Ertle
Director of Marketing
Amanda grew up in Sanford, North Carolina and continues to reside there. She has worked in long-term care for the last 16 years and started her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her journey with The Laurels of Chatham started in June of 2016 as Admissions Coordinator. Amanda loves coming to work every day and making a difference in the lives of the guest and their families.
